Strontium Acetate, Sr(C2H3O2)2

Strontium Acetate, Sr(C2H3O2)2, crystallises in the cold with 4 molecules of water, and at 15° C. with 0.5 molecule. It is readily soluble in water, but not in alcohol. The value of the electrolytic dissociation as determined from the freezing-point lowering is much greater than that given by electrical conductivity methods. Acid salts have also been obtained.
