Strontium Chlorochromate, Sr(CrO3Cl)2.4H2O
Strontium Chlorochromate, Sr(CrO3Cl)2.4H2O, may be obtained by the action of chromyl chloride on strontium chromate in acetic acid solution. It forms carmine-red hygroscopic crystals which melt in their water of crystallisation at 72° C.
