By substituting the disulphide for the hydrosulphide in the previous reaction, Yeoman obtained the Strontium Perthiocarbonate, SrCS4.8H2O as yellow crystals. It forms a yellow aqueous solution which can dissolve no more sulphur. It is soluble in alcohol, and is reprecipitated by ether as a red oil.
